Will my neighbors be able to get on my network?
No. I’ll help you setup a secure network, not even we could hack into. Although, if you like your neighbors, I’ll set you up with a password that you can give to whoever you choose.

Will I be able to get files from one computer to a different computer?
Heck yes, if you have music on an upstairs computer and you’re lounging downstairs, you can access it without leaving the room.

How do I make sure my computer doesn’t get hacked?
Don’t go it alone. I’ll configure a firewall that’ll keep you sleeping sound at night.

Do I need high-speed internet set up before you install a home network?
Yes, contact your internet provider prior to making your appointment.

Will my WiFi work outside of my house?
Yes, most have a range of a few hundred feet. You can access it from your deck, patio or tree house.

We can make sure that the latest software, hardware and drivers are installed on your computer or laptop and also check their compatibility with the running operating system. We can also defragment your hard drive as per your needs and keep updating your software and operating system.

Will using anti-virus software speed up my computer?
The results will vary depending on the computer.

Will you install a pop-up blocker with the anti-virus software?
Yes, because we know it isn’t likely that you’re the 10,000,000th visitor to this site.

How do I know my computer is safe from viruses?
As long as the anti-virus is running and up to date, you should be safe.

What is a recovery disc?
Recovery discs will get your computer working like new. They will restore everything back to the factory settings to give you a fresh start.

Can you setup any email provider?
Yes, we’ve been trained in the every aspect on the art of email setup.

Will you install personal email as well as work related?
Work and play. We do them both. (Although personally I tend to work our lives away.)

What kind of information will I have to give you to set up an email?
I’ll need some settings from your email provider. I don’t need any sensitive personal data.

What are Windows Updates?
Every month Microsoft has updates to help improve performance and security to Windows. The problem is that the list of updates keeps getting longer and longer. We’ll make sure you’re all up-to-date and configured to get all future updates automatically.

Can you setup a computer purchased from anywhere?
Yes, I love technology, so I’ll work with any computer you have.

Can you setup my printer, too?
Yes, if you purchased the printer with the computer, we’ll set everything up together.

How long will the setup take?
No promises, but most of the time, setup takes under an hour. We’ll make sure to show you how to use it, too.

Can you setup my wireless printer to work with multiple computers?
Yes, we’ll have you printing in no time.

Does your service include any replacement cartridges or parts?
No sorry, this just covers the set up, though you can purchase more ink cartridges at any box store.

Will you install a printer that is purchased anywhere?
Yes, we love working with technology, no matter where it comes from.

Is the software included in this package?
No, this service just covers the installation.

Will you tell me if the software is incompatible with my operating system?
We’ll make sure you’ve got the right program for your operating system.

Does the service include updating the software to the current version?
Yes, we’ll make sure it is up to date.

What happens if my computer doesn’t meet the minimum requirements?
I will access the problem and suggest an the right upgrade.

Step 2: When you are ready to begin, click the “Proceed” button.

Step 3: Now choose the ports you would like it to scan. To scan all ports click “All Service Ports.”

When the scan is finished you will see a color-coded graphical display of all your ports as well as a summery . Ports in green are stealth, ports in blue are closed, and ports in red are open. You can also put your mouse over each port to get a short description.

Now you can use this information to close any of these open ports in your firewall.  What other tools do you like to use to help prevent network vulnerabilities?

Step 1: Download and install DriverMax on the computer you want to backup drivers from.

Step 2: Under the “Driver Operations” menu click “Export Drivers”

Step 3: The export wizard will now launch. Click “Next”.

Step 4: You will now see a list of all of the current drivers installed on the computer. You can either individually select the drivers you want to backup or you can click “Select All”. When you make your selection, click “Next”.

Step 5: Select your backup location. DriverMax will put each driver in an individual folder. When you are ready to start backing them up, click “Next”.

Step 6: You are now finished backing up your drivers. If you would like to import them onto your computer or another computer, click “Import Drivers” from the “Driver Operations” menu.

Step 7: The import wizard will now launch. Click “Next”.

Step 8: Choose the location of the drivers you would like to import. Click “Next”.

Step 9: Select the drivers you would like to import. You can also select all of them by clicking “Select All”. When you have made your selection, click “Next”.

Step 10: You will now see an overview of what you will be importing. When you are ready to import them, click “Next”.

Step 11: You will now see the import results. Click “Next” and restart the computer.
