Man in jail for 123rd time on domestic violence
According to police, this time around 29-year-old Deon Brown is charged with domestic violence, and accused of beating his baby’s mother(Is this a polite way of saying the child is a bastard & the parents are not married?).
A Toledo woman is brutally beat, and police are describing this incident as a string of assaults. It’s all part of a domestic violence case they are still investigating. It first began early this morning in the parking lot of CJ’s club on Phillips and North Detroit.
The suspect is a regular here at the jail. He’s being led away in cuffs for the 123rd time. According to police, this time around 29-year-old Deon Brown is charged with domestic violence, and accused of beating his baby’s mother.
CJ’s parking lot is where police say Brown drove up to the victim, Tamesha Gott, then began beating her stating he was going to kill her. Witnesses on the scene tried to help, but police say the suspect forced the victim into his car, drove to a park near Alexis Rd where he continued to beat her. He smothered her face with a pillow and even put a gun to her head.
Sgt. Richard Murphy says, “We, police got a call from a young lady that she had been abducted, been held at gunpoint, taken out in the woods, then beaten about on the face.”
Police reports say the victim begged for her life and begged to go home. The victim also claims Brown not only smoked a joint, but put it out on the back of her hand. When Brown fell asleep she made her escape to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
The victim has since been released from St. V’s. Officers say more charges could be pending against the suspect once they complete their investigation.
