Hundreds line up for Mexican documents
ASBURY PARK — More than 380 Mexican nationals lined up in Asbury Park this morning to obtain documents issued by their government.
The passports and consular ID cards, called matricula consular, were being issued at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in the city through the Mexican Consulate on Wheels program.
The first man in line this morning was Reybel Feria-Sarabia, 19, of Red Bank, who arrived at 11 p.m. Tuesday to get his place at the head of the line.
The restaurant worker came to get both a passport and a matricula consular, and said he hoped to open a bank account with the documents.
The consulate visit to city was sponsored by the group La Red Latina and Cecilia Reynolds, who is a member of group and the editor of a Freehold-area Spanish language newspaper. Reynolds thanked city officials, priests at the church and local residents for their cooperation in allowing the program to be held in Asbury Park.
Officials from the Mexican Consulate in New York plan to work in Asbury Park through Sunday, issuing passports and matricula consular cards to Mexican nationals living in the Shore area.
The documents can help Mexicans living here open bank accounts, obtain copies of their children’s birth certificates and return to their homeland.
The Consulate on Wheels program, which began running in the tri-state area in February, has already visited New Brunswick, Yonkers, Passaic, Harrison, Bridgeport, Conn., The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Harlem.
Officials decided to come to Asbury Park because there is a large Mexican population in the city, as well as surrounding areas, including Freehold, Red Bank and Lakewood, said Gisel Vazquez, a community liaison who works under Gaspar Orozco, the consul of community affairs in the New York office.
You don’t need to abide by our Constitution. Go to the Catholic Church for help and they’ll get you in with a Mexico Passport. Sounds like what they did for the Nazis. Helping them hide. And the Catholic ministry want to know why people are not attending mass?
Closer and Closer to “The Americas”. With the help of the Catholic Church. All I see is the total demise of the Catholic Church. And the total demise of the United States of America. No laws. No Constitution. No background checks. No accountability. Just need Papers! Didn’t they just need papers to get from one place to the other in Nazi Germany? Boy, history is repeating itself. Just on another continent.
Look, I have nothing against any alien that has entered my Country legally. But these who are obtaining these papers in New Jersey are NOT legal. Where is ICE?

Can you please let me know if there will be any more Mexican Consulate on Wheels program in the New jersey area any time soon.
Thanks.
