White pride is a slogan used primarily in the United States (although its usage has spread internationally) to promote the heritage of persons of white European racial identity. The phrase appears in the artwork and literature of many White nationalist and white supremacist organizations. Organizations advocating white pride tend to be collectively referred to as the white pride movement.

Advocates of white pride argue that white people should be recognized as a cohesive and legitimate cultural group, with the right to promote their sociopolitical interests. According to a University of Minnesota study, 77% of white Americans believe “their race has a distinct culture that should be preserved.” They often claim that there exists a cultural double standard in which only certain ethnicities are permitted to openly have pride in their heritage, and that white pride is not inherently racist, being roughly analogous to positions such as black pride, native pride, latino pride or gay pride. Opponents of white pride argue that movements such as black pride and gay pride represent affirmations of self-worth and solidarity on the part of oppressed minorities, whereas white pride represents an attempt to reinforce the hierarchies that gave rise to that oppression. Several anti-racist organizations have argued that ideas such as white pride and white nationalism exist merely to provide a sanitized public face for white supremacy.

The phrase “white pride” has appeared in promotional materials by white supremacist organizations. The slogan “White Pride, World Wide” appears in the logo of Stormfront, an organization whose membership consists mostly of white supremacists, Neo-Nazis, white nationalists, and white separatists. Stormfront is owned and operated by Don Black, who was formerly a Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. White pride has been associated with David Lane’s Fourteen Words, a shibboleth used as a greeting by white nationalists and white supremacists. The 14 words are: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White children.” Organizations advocating white pride exclude most white individuals who sympathize with, fraternize with, or marry non-whites. Many white pride advocates have used the term “race traitor” for these types of people.

The phrase “white pride” often appears in the lyrics of white power and neo-Nazi rock bands. An example is Skrewdriver’s version of Elvis Presley’s “In the Ghetto”, in which the lyrics have been altered considerably from Presley’s original. In the early 1980s, there was an American hardcore Nazi punk band called White Pride which recorded one album called “Your loss is our gain” (1983).

White pride is often tied to the notion that white people can represent, or will someday represent, a minority group in “historically white” countries. Advocates of this notion point out that non-Hispanic whites now comprise less than half the population of California and Texas, and that white people are expected to become a numerical minority in the United Kingdom by 2100. This phenomenon is sometimes referred to as the minority-majority effect. However, simple numerical minority status is not how most sociologists or economists define a minority group. To avoid confusion, some writers prefer the terms “subordinate group” and “dominant group” rather than “minority” and “majority”. In this context, sociologists argue that white people - specifically white men - would remain the culturally and politically dominant group in historically white countries, even if they came to represent a numerical minority.
